Guild

The Summerville Community Orchestra Guild was founded in 2006 and is dedicated to helping the orchestra bring classical music to Summerville. The Guild supports the orchestra through volunteering, fund-raising, and publicity. The current Guild President is Mrs. Pamela Ward. The Guild’s first fundraiser, a garden tea held in April 2006, was a smashing success. The Guild Tea is still held each spring at Linwood Bed and Breakfast. The Guild also provides ushers for concerts, refreshments for the orchestra as well as concert intermissions. They plan special yearly events, fundraisers, and trips for Guild members and the public.

The Guild is currently selling license plates and CDs of past performances. The plates are available for $15, t shirts are $10, and CDs are $15. They can be purchased at the Guild table at any SCO concert, there is also a Guild table at the Orchestra office on Main Street in downtown Summerville. You can obtain information about the Orchestra and Guild, purchase our items for sale, and also purchase tickets.

If you have a love of music and you enjoy attending the Orchestra, please consider joining the Summerville Orchestra Guild. The Guild meets monthly and we encourage you to attend one of our meetings. Members of the SCO Guild appreciate the Orchestra and their devotion to bringing music to Summerville because not only are the Guild members volunteers, but each member of the orchestra is a volunteer as well.
